It feels good to give of yourself. One of my avocations is to give time and talent to the Minnesota Hooved Animal Rescue Foundation. We've done foster care now for about 10 years. Currently we have Biskit (left), and Catahoula (center). Chico was a foster that found his life's love here with us (right).
There's hardly anything more satisfying than seeing a thin, frightened horse turn into a healthy, confident animal. Chico was scrawny and small when he came; now he's the picture of health (ok, a little too fat) and full of himself.
And he's turned out to be a fun saddle horse too. Casey hopes to be his rider in the spring!
