Children - WOW

I guess I always knew how tough it would be. I never knew how rewarding. I also thought there might be "cruise control" at some point. I'm finding out that you can never let your guard down.

However, the last few weeks have been hell. Chip has been sick for three weeks now -- tummy junk. He's barfing again today and is listless. Casey is consistently late with her school work and seems apathetic to the problem. Hannah is living out life thru an alter-ego "Zoey" -- and its causing problems at school.

Neither of the girls has drive for band anymore but they cannot drop out until the end of the year. So we have to continue to flog them about it so we all get thru it. Hannah loves to play the guitar but neither girl can remember to log practice time; their interest flags as "other" things distract them.

I guess ADD/ADHD IS hereditary. Perhaps we can just have medication added to our well.
